Job Summary
Providing strategic legal advice to leadership, the full-time California Licensed Senior Employment Counsel will manage complex employment law issues, collaborate with HR on compliance projects, and oversee the creation and negotiation of legal documents in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare, draft, and review complex legal documents while providing expert guidance to clients and legal professionals
- Conduct and manage legal research, synthesizing findings to inform business strategies and decisions
- Assess legal risks and implement strategies to mitigate them while guiding junior attorneys and collaborating with stakeholders
Required qualifications:
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in employment, labor, or employee benefits law
- Minimum ten (10) years of experience as a practicing lawyer
- Juris Doctorate (JD) or equivalent degree
- State Bar License from any state where the organization operates
