California Licensed Senior Geologist

Job Summary

Providing project support for a variety of clients, the part-time California Licensed Senior Geologist will serve as a technical lead and project manager for complex environmental remediation projects, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead technical efforts in soil and groundwater remediation projects, developing site characterization plans and ensuring data quality
• Manage project activities, including planning, budgeting, and oversight of deliverable quality and team progress
• Consult with clients and stakeholders on technical, regulatory, and project scope matters while fostering collaborative work relationships

Required qualifications:

• 20+ years of experience in environmental site characterization and remediation under CERCLA and state regulatory frameworks
• California state certification/licensing as a Professional Geologist (PG) is required
• Expertise in managing large-scale environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes
• In-depth knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization techniques and technologies
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements under CERCLA, RCRA, and other relevant environmental regulations
