Job Summary
Providing project support for a variety of clients, the part-time California Licensed Senior Geologist will serve as a technical lead and project manager for complex environmental remediation projects, ensuring data quality and compliance with regulatory standards while working remotely.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead technical efforts in soil and groundwater remediation projects, developing site characterization plans and ensuring data quality
- Manage project activities, including planning, budgeting, and oversight of deliverable quality and team progress
- Consult with clients and stakeholders on technical, regulatory, and project scope matters while fostering collaborative work relationships
Required qualifications:
- 20+ years of experience in environmental site characterization and remediation under CERCLA and state regulatory frameworks
- California state certification/licensing as a Professional Geologist (PG) is required
- Expertise in managing large-scale environmental sites involving hazardous and mixed wastes
- In-depth knowledge of groundwater, soil, and soil vapor characterization techniques and technologies
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements under CERCLA, RCRA, and other relevant environmental regulations
