California Licensed Senior Paralegal
Job Summary
To support the Legal and Intellectual Property group, the full-time California Licensed Senior Paralegal will manage patent prosecution documentation, engage with outside counsel, and oversee IP-related matters while working onsite or remotely in the Torrey Pines area.
Key responsibilities
- Draft, revise, and file patent documents, ensuring compliance with deadlines
- Coordinate with corporate counsel to manage IP processes and maintain electronic filing systems
- Conduct preliminary research related to patent filings and provide litigation support as needed
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of experience as an IP paralegal, or a high school diploma with 12+ years of experience
- Paralegal certification is required
- Experience with patent-based tools such as LexisNexis and Anaqua
- Specialized experience in Intellectual Property and familiarity with U.S. patent law
- Experience working with outside counsel on patent prosecutions domestically and internationally
