California Licensed Senior Staff Attorney

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Senior Staff Attorney to lead legal strategies for shareholder rights and environmental, social, and governance issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute innovative legal strategies to promote environmental and social justice and defend shareholder rights
• Draft regulatory petitions, amicus briefs, and assist in the legal aspects of shareholder advocacy work
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner organizations to respond to legal, economic, or political challenges

Required Qualifications

• J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• 5 or more years of post-graduate legal experience with significant litigation experience
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, and Sharepoint
• Demonstrated commitment to progressive social and environmental change
