Job Summary
Leading the development of high-profile impact litigation, the full-time California Licensed Senior Staff Attorney will advance and defend shareholder rights while challenging state and federal actions, working remotely in a collaborative environment.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative legal strategies that promote environmental and social justice and advance corporate responsibility
- Recruit and coordinate with outside pro bono counsel to support legal initiatives
- Assist staff in advancing shareholder advocacy work and respond to new legal, economic, or political challenges
Required qualifications
- J.D. degree (or foreign equivalent) and licensed to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Three or more years of post-graduate legal experience, including litigation experience
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while meeting deadlines
- Experience in environmental, corporate, or securities law is preferred
- Demonstrated commitment to progressive social and environmental change
