Job Summary
Owning the design and delivery of core Agent Services, the full-time California Licensed Senior Staff Engineer will manage the technical design, implementation, and production launch of systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of Agent Services, ensuring production readiness and system accountability
- Identify and resolve design gaps, balancing long-term system health with immediate shipping needs
- Mentor engineers on Postgres internals and distributed systems design while setting high standards in code and design reviews
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in building and operating large-scale distributed systems or cloud data infrastructure
- Solid knowledge of Postgres, including query planning, execution, and replication
- Strong systems programming experience in C or C++, with proficiency in a higher-level language like Go, Ruby, or Python
- Experience with high-availability, multi-tenant, or highly distributed data systems in cloud environments
- BS/MS in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent demonstrated experience
