Job Summary
Leading the engineering and design of complex projects, the hybrid Senior Substation Project Engineer will manage large-scale initiatives, provide technical direction to teams, and assist in finalizing project specifications while working from a remote office and an assigned location within the NorCal Utility Service Territory.
Key responsibilities
- Manage large, complex projects and perform engineering analyses, studies, and develop conceptual designs
- Lead, coach, and assist technical employees and teams on technical issues, serving as an engineering mentor
- Collaborate with contractors, vendors, and clients to resolve complex engineering problems and provide technical direction
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited U.S. curriculum or equivalent
- Minimum of 8 years of cumulative experience in electrical engineering and design
- Current California Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Experience managing multiple large-scale, high-budget electric substation projects
- Project management skills
