Job Summary

Seeking a full-time California Licensed Software Developer - Journeyman / Operations Research Software Engineer, the candidate will develop, maintain, and enhance software for the Naval Postgraduate School's Replenishment at Sea Planner (RASP), focusing on optimization code, web-based interfaces, and Excel/VBA tools, with opportunities for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance RASP software using Python, Pyomo, and related optimization environments
• Support integration of advanced optimization tools and develop an Excel/VBA front-end for RASP installations
• Design and deploy web-based user interfaces and enhance RASP for multi-tier logistics modeling and operational planning workflows

Required Qualifications

• Master of Science degree or ten years of at-sea replenishment experience with advanced mathematical modeling skills
• Minimum five years of experience with Python, Pyomo, and supporting Department of the Navy logistics operations
• Experience in operational analysis and developing Python web-server environments
• Demonstrated ability to translate logistics and optimization requirements into executable software solutions
• U.S. citizenship is required
