Job Summary
Seeking a California Licensed Solar Designer, the full-time position will generate solar blueprints using AutoCAD, ensure accurate scope of work through account reviews, and collaborate with construction managers and sales organizations, with the option to work remotely or from the Irvine, CA office.
Key responsibilities
- Utilize AutoCAD to create solar blueprints that meet jurisdictional and utility requirements
- Become a subject matter expert on Qcells Q.Home battery systems and product pairings for residential applications
- Identify factors affecting project scope, cost, and installation complexity while collaborating with regional construction managers
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field with 5-8+ years of engineering experience, including 3-5 years in solar system design
- Proficiency in AutoCAD
- Strong understanding of NEC and CRC codes
- Experience with permitting processes with local authorities
- Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
