California Licensed Specialty Nurse Navigator

Job Summary

To support patient care in the GI/Oncology department, the full-time California Licensed Specialty Nurse Navigator will navigate patients through the continuum of care, establish nursing goals, and provide education and support while working four 10-hour shifts, including one remote shift.

Key responsibilities

• Navigating patients through the continuum of care as a liaison between physicians, departments, and patients
• Establishing specific nursing goals to guide care planning and promote patient self-reliance
• Formulating custom care plans and providing disease-specific education tailored to patient needs

Required qualifications

• BSN with 3 years of recent clinical nursing experience in various settings
• Current California RN License
• BLS certification if working in a clinical setting
• ONS Chemotherapy and Biotherapy certification
• Preferred: MSN and OCN or ONN-CG certification for oncology specialty
