Job Summary
To support complex technology implementations, the hybrid Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator will manage and administer SQL Server environments, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery solutions while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Implement and administer Always On Availability Groups and High Availability/Disaster Recovery solutions for SQL Server
- Deploy and manage Azure SQL and SQL Server on cloud platforms, ensuring seamless migrations and conversions between various database systems
- Develop and execute comprehensive backup and recovery strategies while maintaining monitoring solutions using Microsoft System Center Operations Manager
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related or Engineering field, with relevant experience substitutable on a year-for-year basis
- Minimum of eight years of experience in systems development, analysis, programming, or testing
- Expertise in Microsoft SQL Server versions 2016 and above, including configuration and upgrading
- Cloud certifications such as Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, or equivalent
- Proficiency in automation and scripting technologies, particularly Microsoft PowerShell
