Job Summary
To support an established West Coast Utility Company, the part-time California Licensed Substation Electrician will analyze and evaluate drone and helicopter data for substation structures, ensuring safety and maintenance compliance while working remotely in the PST timezone.
Key responsibilities:
- Review drone photos to identify non-conformities in substation structures and assets
- Evaluate the strength, durability, and quality of substation components, providing recommendations for safety and maintenance issues
- Document changes in internal systems and conduct quality control evaluations of work performed
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Substation Electrician or equivalent experience, including transmission
- 7+ years of experience as a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)
- Proficient in industry standards related to substations
- Previous experience inspecting substation assets for safety concerns
- Good computer skills, including Teams, Excel, and Office 365; experience with SAP and similar tools is preferred
