Job Summary
To support an established West Coast Utility Company, the part-time California Licensed Substation Electrician will analyze and evaluate drone and helicopter data, identifying non-conformities and safety issues related to substation structures and assets while working remotely in the PST timezone.
Key responsibilities:
- Review drone photos to identify non-conformities of substation structures and assets
- Evaluate the strength, durability, and quality of substation components and provide maintenance recommendations
- Document changes in internal systems and ensure accurate records of evaluations and inspections
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a Substation Electrician or equivalent experience, including transmission
- 7+ years of experience as a Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW)
- Proficient in industry standards relating to substations
- Previous experience inspecting substation assets for safety concerns
- Good computer skills, including proficiency in Teams, Excel, and Office 365
