California Licensed Substation Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Substation Design Engineer who will review Generation Interconnection Requests and ensure technical data is complete for studies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and engineer substation electrical facilities, resolving technical issues
• Manage in-house design projects and provide training to the design team
• Coordinate with multiple disciplines for interconnecting generators and large customer loads to the grid

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related scientific/technical field
• Two or more years of experience in substation engineering and design
• General knowledge of guides, standards, codes, and methods for complex assignments
• AutoCAD design experience for developing and updating drawings
• Highly organized with experience conducting field meetings and note-taking
