Job Summary
To support critical infrastructure projects, the contract Substation Engineer will examine images of steel and wood poles and steel lattice towers, identify and prioritize damage according to client standards, and collaborate with a diverse team while working remotely in the PST timezone.
Key responsibilities
- Examine and evaluate images of various pole types and towers for damage assessment
- Identify and prioritize damage based on client specifications and standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members and adapt work based on feedback
Required qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience as a Substation Engineer or in related transmission engineering roles
- Familiarity with software such as Windows Explorer, Office 365, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
- Experience with SAP, Sherlock/iHawk, EDGIS, or similar tools is highly preferred
- Ability to learn and adapt to changing industry standards
- Willingness to accept guidance and corrections from team members
