California Licensed Supervising Psychiatrist

Job Summary

Seeking a part-time California Licensed Supervising Psychiatrist, this role will manage the mentorship and supervision of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), provide clinical care for complex cases, and collaborate on process development to enhance psychiatric care delivery in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor 10-12 APPs, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and best practices
• Provide second opinion consultations and treatment for higher complexity cases, including medication management
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and improve psychiatric care workflows and protocols

Required qualifications

• Board-certified psychiatrist (MD or DO)
• Eligibility for or active license in California or other priority states (NY, TX, WA, GA, NC, DMV region)
• Proven experience supervising and mentoring advanced practice providers
• Active, unrestricted federal DEA registration with willingness to obtain additional state licenses
• Familiarity with state-specific collaborative practice agreements and supervision regulations
