Job Summary

A company is looking for a Counsel, Taxation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic guidance on project development matters, including tax credit qualification and entity structuring
• Draft, review, and negotiate various project and financing documents
• Advise on federal tax credit eligibility and stay current on IRS guidance and industry best practices

Required Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one U.S. state bar
• 4-7 years of tax practice experience at a major law firm or equivalent environment
• Experience with IRA-related guidance and transferability markets
• Demonstrated expertise in renewable energy tax incentives and project finance transactions
• Strong understanding of partnership tax principles and federal income tax rules applicable to energy projects
