Job Summary
Leading the firm's strategic initiatives, the full-time California Licensed Tax Director will manage client relationships, oversee tax return reviews, and guide staff while working remotely with occasional office visits in Costa Mesa, CA.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as the primary point of contact for existing and new clients
- Develop and execute the firm's growth initiatives and operational strategies in collaboration with the executive team
- Review and oversee the preparation of individual, corporate, partnership, and trust tax returns
Required qualifications
- 8 - 15 years of progressive experience in tax return preparation and review
- Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
- CPA, JD, LLM, or EA certification required
- Direct experience managing staff and client relationships
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on strategy and operations
