Job Summary
California Licensed Tax Paralegal is sought for a fully remote, engagement-to-hire position to manage tax controversy case files, support various tax matters, and communicate directly with clients and tax agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage tax controversy case files from intake to resolution
- Support a variety of tax matters including audits and appeals
- Conduct legal research and draft relevant IRS forms and documents
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years of relevant experience in tax, paralegal, or accounting environments
- Experience interacting with IRS, FTB, CDTFA, or EDD preferred
- Prior experience drafting IRS forms such as 433-A and penalty abatement requests
- Paralegal certificate preferred; equivalent experience considered
- Enrolled Agent (EA) license preferred but not required
