Job Summary
To support a leading public accounting firm, the remote California Licensed Tax Partner will manage state and local tax (SALT) engagements, ensuring compliance and providing strategic tax planning for clients while leveraging over a decade of public accounting experience.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of SALT engagements, overseeing compliance and strategic tax planning
- Develop and maintain client relationships, providing expert guidance on California income tax matters
- Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery
Required qualifications
- 10-15 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on SALT
- Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
- Active CPA license and knowledge of California income tax regulations
- Proven partner-level experience in managing complex tax engagements
- Commitment to ongoing professional education, with a minimum of 40 hours annually
