To support a leading public accounting firm, the remote California Licensed Tax Partner will manage state and local tax (SALT) engagements, ensuring compliance and providing strategic tax planning for clients while leveraging over a decade of public accounting experience.

Key responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of SALT engagements, overseeing compliance and strategic tax planning
  • Develop and maintain client relationships, providing expert guidance on California income tax matters
  • Lead and mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and ensuring high-quality service delivery
Required qualifications
  • 10-15 years of experience in public accounting with a focus on SALT
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in accounting
  • Active CPA license and knowledge of California income tax regulations
  • Proven partner-level experience in managing complex tax engagements
  • Commitment to ongoing professional education, with a minimum of 40 hours annually
