Job Summary
Leading a dynamic team from a remote location, the full-time California Licensed Team Manager will oversee disability claims management, ensuring investigations are conducted, claims are managed, and resolutions are timely while adhering to company and client guidelines.
Key responsibilities
- Establish performance standards, conduct appraisals, and administer corrective actions in line with HR policies
- Review and assign claims to examiners, ensuring balanced workloads and timely closures
- Coach team members on investigations and compliance standards, while keeping leadership informed of activities and issues
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required
- Five or more years of progressive experience as a Claim Examiner with technical expertise
- Previous supervisory experience desirable
- Thorough knowledge of insurance coverages and practices
- State licensing requirements for relevant lines of insurance handled
