Job Summary
Providing expert guidance in a part-time remote capacity, the California Licensed Title Officer will examine and resolve complex title issues for residential and commercial real estate transactions, ensuring compliance and risk mitigation while supporting internal teams and external clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and analyze public records, title reports, and legal documents for accuracy and insurability
- Identify title defects, assess underwriting risk, and recommend necessary requirements or endorsements
- Resolve complex title matters and collaborate with underwriters on unique property scenarios
Required Qualifications
- California Title Officer license
- Extensive experience in title examination and underwriting processes
- Strong understanding of California real estate laws and regulations
- Proven ability to mentor and train junior staff
- Experience in resolving complex title issues, including probate and boundary disputes
