Job Summary
Supporting the trademark prosecution practice remotely, the full-time California Licensed Trademark Paralegal will manage the preparation and filing of trademark and copyright applications, communicate with clients about trademark matters, and maintain accurate records related to trademark prosecution activities.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and file trademark and copyright applications with the USPTO and WIPO, including related documents such as Assignments and Office Action Responses
- Correspond with non-U.S. agents regarding foreign filings and communicate with clients about the status of trademark matters
- Conduct international and U.S. preliminary searches and assist in the review of search reports related to the clearance of marks
Required qualifications
- Associate's degree or equivalent work experience with a minimum of 10 years in trademark and copyright prosecution
- Deep understanding of Intellectual Property rules and regulations in various jurisdictions
- Experience with IP docketing systems
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and document management systems
- Ability to work occasional overtime and weekends as needed
