Job Summary
To enhance translation services, the full-time California Licensed Translation Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and manage translation programs, conduct training for staff and interns, and ensure adherence to departmental guidelines in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinates workflow of translation assignments and delegates tasks to ensure successful project completion
- Conducts proficiency testing for interpreter employees and interns, providing feedback and monitoring performance
- Develops language and translation courses for interns and organizes educational meetings on translation topics
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in translation and interpretation from an accredited institution
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in translation or interpretation
- ATA (American Translator's Association) certification, or a Master's degree in translation and interpretation may be accepted in lieu of certification
- High proficiency in both English and Spanish, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and cultural factors affecting patient communication
