California Licensed Transmission Line Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting the growing Overhead Electric Transmission practice, the full-time hybrid California Licensed Transmission Line Engineer will manage routing, design, and execution of high voltage overhead transmission projects, utilizing specialized software and collaborating with construction teams.
Key responsibilities
- Routing and designing transmission lines using the Power Line Systems software suite
- Conducting structure analysis, foundation design, and preparing job packages and project documentation
- Providing construction support and interacting directly with construction crews
Required qualifications
- 3-5 years of progressive overhead transmission engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
- Experience in Civil/Structural Transmission Line disciplines, including Steel Pole and Foundation Design
- Working knowledge of Power Line Systems software suite (PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, TOWER) is a plus
- EIT certification; PE license is a plus
