Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time California Licensed Trauma Registrar will collect and analyze trauma patient care data, perform ICD-10 coding, and design reports for quality improvement and research activities.
Key responsibilities
- Collect and collate trauma patient care data for the regional database (TEMIS)
- Perform ICD-10 coding and AIS Injury Severity Scoring on trauma patients' diagnoses
- Design reports for analyzing trauma data to support quality improvement initiatives
Required qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in a trauma registry or trauma registrar role
- Completion of an ICD-10 coding course and AIS Injury Severity Scoring course
- Typing skills of 65 words per minute
- High School graduate or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) or Accredited Record Technician (ART) preferred
