California Licensed Underwriter VP

Job Summary

Providing leadership to a production and underwriting team, the full-time California Licensed Underwriter VP will underwrite new and renewal business, approve policy changes, and maintain high-quality service to agents and carrier partners while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal business while meeting production goals set by management
• Supervise a multi-person team, ensuring effective communication of pertinent information
• Develop and maintain excellent relationships with clients and market all products and services

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
• Three years of experience in production and marketing of new accounts
• Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
• Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
• Ability to understand and analyze insurance policy components and client risk exposures
