California Licensed Underwriting Assistant

Job Summary

Supporting senior underwriting staff, the full-time California Licensed Underwriting Assistant will perform administrative duties for new and renewal accounts, conduct risk assessments, and assist with rate computations, with the option to work remotely from specific locations or in a hybrid capacity.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize risk analysis to assess loss history and financial conditions for cases
• Collect and review documentation for risk cases to determine acceptance eligibility
• Collaborate with the underwriting team to finalize insurance applications and process accounts efficiently

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required
• Minimum of 1 year of P&C underwriting or related support experience
• Relevant certifications such as CPCU, CIC, or Property & Casualty Brokers License are a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn industry-specific software
• Strong customer service experience and a collaborative work ethic
