Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Consultant - Contract Surety (Remote).

Key Responsibilities

• Underwrite new and renewal contract surety submissions for complex accounts
• Make independent decisions ensuring compliance with underwriting strategy and state laws
• Manage a profitable book of contract surety business and develop strong relationships with brokers and contractors

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, or related field
• 7-10 years of progressively complex underwriting experience in contract surety
• Professional designation preferred (AFSB, CPCU)
• Advanced understanding of contractor financials and construction risk
