California Licensed Underwriting Lead

Job Summary

A company is looking for an Underwriting Team Lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed production targets and ensure adherence to underwriting guidelines
• Mentor and develop staff while managing a multi-person team
• Negotiate terms and coverages for new and existing business and monitor compliance with policies

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate insurance designation
• Three years of experience in underwriting or brokering E&S insurance products
• Must be licensed in corresponding areas of insurance
• Knowledge of commercial multi-line underwriting and rating
• Leadership and team skills with the ability to maintain relationships with agencies and carriers
