California Licensed Underwriting Manager

Job Summary

Managing the Cyber Liability lines of business, the full-time California Licensed Underwriting Manager will provide underwriting excellence, oversee strategic objectives, and lead a team while working remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Delegating underwriting authority and approving underwriting referrals to achieve desired performance and efficiency
• Conducting internal underwriting peer reviews and serving as a liaison with carrier partners regarding underwriting matters
• Identifying new underwriting opportunities and collaborating with the Senior Leadership Team to align team goals with organizational objectives

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a related discipline
• Minimum of 15 years of related work experience, including 10 years in management
• Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation preferred
• Strong leadership and management skills with a proven ability to drive results
• Mastery of underwriting discipline and senior-level knowledge of the insurance industry
