Job Summary
A company is looking for a Utilization Management Medical Assistant.
Key Responsibilities
- Review consult summaries and imaging results to determine follow-up service needs
- Enter orders based on provider direction and manage clinical inboxes for document handling
- Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve authorization and order discrepancies
Required Qualifications
- Current MA Certificate; experience in a home health/clinical setting preferred
- 2-year degree in Medical Assistance from an accredited program
- Certification by a Medical Assistant Certifying Organization preferred
- Minimum one year of chart auditing or UM review experience
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid UM regulations
