Leading the legal function within a dynamic biotechnology company, the full-time California Licensed Vice President Counsel will ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks, and provide strategic guidance across operations, focusing on supply chain, clinical trials, and contractual negotiations.
Key responsibilities
- Advising the leadership team on key risks impacting business functionality
- Leading legal support for supply chain, clinical trials, regulatory issues, and commercialization capabilities
- Negotiating, drafting, and reviewing a variety of contracts, including clinical trial and partnership agreements
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctorate degree from a U.S. accredited institution
- 15+ years of post-J.D. experience in the life sciences industry or at a top-tier law firm
- Experience advising on complex business development and licensing agreements
- Experience interacting with and advising senior management and boards of directors on legal matters
- Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a startup environment
