California Licensed Vice President of Legal

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Vice President of Legal.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary legal advisor on corporate, healthcare regulatory, commercial, product, employment, and privacy matters
• Build and lead internal legal processes and policies to support risk mitigation and compliance
• Manage relationships with outside counsel and oversee the company's compliance program

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of legal experience, with at least 3 years in-house at a high-growth digital health or healthcare services company
• JD from an accredited law school; active license to practice in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
• Deep understanding of healthcare regulations, particularly related to Medicaid and Medicare
• Expertise in FDA regulation of healthcare software and AI-enabled technologies
• Experience in commercial and vendor contracting, data privacy, corporate governance, and employment law
