Job Summary

Processing medical-only claims under supervision, the full-time California Licensed War Hazard Coordinator will manage claim approvals and reimbursements, verify coverage, and communicate with insureds and medical providers while upholding company standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Processes "M" Case claims and maintenance claims for medical benefits within payment authority
  • Contacts claimants and medical providers for verifications and updates on claim status
  • Approves payments on lost time disability claims after compensability determination
Required qualifications
  • College degree or equivalent education and experience
  • Two or more years of experience as a Claim Clerk or equivalent
  • Thorough knowledge of claim processing and related policies
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology and relevant medical tests
  • Must be licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions
