Job Summary
Processing medical-only claims under supervision, the full-time California Licensed War Hazard Coordinator will manage claim approvals and reimbursements, verify coverage, and communicate with insureds and medical providers while upholding company standards.
Key responsibilities
- Processes "M" Case claims and maintenance claims for medical benefits within payment authority
- Contacts claimants and medical providers for verifications and updates on claim status
- Approves payments on lost time disability claims after compensability determination
Required qualifications
- College degree or equivalent education and experience
- Two or more years of experience as a Claim Clerk or equivalent
- Thorough knowledge of claim processing and related policies
- Understanding of basic medical terminology and relevant medical tests
- Must be licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions
