California Licensed Water Resources Engineer

Job Summary

A company is looking for an entry-level Water Resources Engineer/Hydrogeologist.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, calibrate, and apply hydrogeologic conceptual and groundwater flow models
• Support groundwater management and planning activities related to SGMA implementation and environmental permitting
• Conduct complex data analysis related to water resources management, including data compilation and evaluation

Required Qualifications:

• BS in Water Resources Engineering, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Hydrology, Hydrogeology, or a related field; MS/PhD preferred
• Experience in water resources or groundwater projects, with local and regional modeling experience highly desirable
• Current or prior knowledge of California regulations is desirable
• Experience with hydrologic modeling platforms like IWFM or MODFLOW is desirable
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python for data analysis is desirable
