Job Summary
Managing a complex portfolio of claims, the full-time California Licensed Workers Compensation Adjuster will effectively oversee an assigned inventory of claim files, ensuring compliance with statutes and company guidelines while working in a hybrid remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Perform three-point contact on new losses within 24 hours to document relevant facts and treatment status
- Document ongoing case facts and establish plans of action for resolving indemnity claims
- Collaborate with medical case managers to facilitate early return to work and manage litigation processes
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
- At least seven years of related experience, including five years managing indemnity cases
- Possession of an SIP certificate
- Strong knowledge of California Labor Code as it pertains to workers' compensation claims
- Experience in handling complex claims involving subrogation, rehabilitation, and legal issues
