Job Summary
To support a dynamic team, the temporary California Licensed Workers Compensation Adjuster III will manage complex, high-exposure claims, provide technical guidance, and serve as a senior resource for clients, carriers, and colleagues in a remote or hybrid work arrangement.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct thorough investigations on complex claims, maintaining detailed plans of action and identifying fraud indicators
- Lead medical management and vocational rehabilitation efforts for high-complexity claims, ensuring appropriate treatment and early return to work
- Direct the litigation process for complex files, including negotiations, mediations, and settlement authority decisions
Required qualifications
- Minimum 7 years of workers' compensation claims experience, including 5 years of independent indemnity management
- Active adjuster license in applicable states, with a California SIP certificate required for California files
- Deep expertise in California workers' compensation statutes and experience with litigation management
- Demonstrated ability to mentor junior adjusters and manage client relationships at a senior level
- Experience with claims administration platforms and proficiency in Microsoft Office
