Job Summary
To support a collaborative legal team, the full-time California Licensed Workers' Compensation Attorney will manage defense cases, develop strategic case defenses, and deliver exceptional client service in a fully remote environment.
Key responsibilities
- Manage workers' compensation defense cases from initial claim through resolution
- Represent employers and insurance carriers at hearings, depositions, and other litigation proceedings
- Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, and other litigation-related documents
Required qualifications
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
- Active California Bar license in good standing
- 3+ years of workers' compensation defense experience or related legal experience
- Strong legal research, analytical, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to independently manage multiple cases and prioritize competing deadlines
