California Medi-Cal Collections Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Medi-Cal Hospital Collections Representative.

Key Responsibilities

• Billing according to Medi-Cal/Managed Care Plans guidelines and following up on outstanding claims
• Performing research on computer systems and documenting customer information regarding payment expectations
• Negotiating payment terms and preparing reports on the status of outstanding medical bills

Required Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• 1+ years of Hospital Medical Collections experience
• 6+ months of experience with Medi-Cal/Managed Care Plans guidelines
• Experience using a UB04 form and contacting insurance companies for claims follow-up
• Computer skills, including knowledge of Microsoft Windows
