Job Summary

A company is looking for a Product Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a strategic partner to leadership and teams on legal, regulatory, and business decisions related to AI, IP, and copyright
• Develop the company's perspective on copyright and IP issues concerning AI image generation in scientific publishing
• Oversee the legal function, including commercial agreements and implementing AI-forward legal operations

Required Qualifications

• A law degree from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice law in at least one jurisdiction, with the ability to practice in California or New York
• In-house experience as product counsel at a SaaS or technology company, preferably with AI-driven products
• Exceptional judgment and the ability to simplify complex legal concepts
• A builder mindset with experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
