California Organizer

Job Summary

Seeking a full-time California Organizer in the Central Valley, this hybrid role will manage grassroots support for electoral campaigns by recruiting and training volunteers, developing strategies, and building a membership base through various outreach methods.

Key responsibilities

• Grow and build the membership base through in-person events, digital organizing, and outreach programs
• Lead recruitment efforts for canvassing and phone banking events for endorsed candidates
• Develop knowledge of the political landscape and engage with community members to support electoral priorities

Required qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience in electoral or neighborhood-based organizing
• A passion for social, economic, and racial justice
• Proven ability to engage and mobilize activists and supporters
• Ability to work independently with strong follow-through on assignments
• Experience in grassroots non-profit, labor, or political organizing is a plus
