California Patient Access Representative

Job Summary

To support high-quality patient care, the full-time California Patient Access Scheduling Representative will perform a variety of scheduling functions, verify insurance eligibility, and provide exceptional customer service, all in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Schedules, confirms, and modifies patient appointments according to departmental guidelines and communicates preparation instructions
• Coordinates with providers to gather necessary demographic, insurance, and financial information for accurate registration and clearance
• Verifies insurance eligibility and authorization requirements while ensuring proper patient identification and documentation are in place

Required qualifications

• High School Education/GED or equivalent required
• One year of customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or service-oriented environment required
• One year of experience in Patient Access, Revenue Cycle, or a related field required
• Associate's/Technical degree in business or equivalent combination of education/related experience preferred
