California Payroll Compliance Specialist

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Sr. Payroll and Compliance Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and process multi-state payrolls for exempt and nonexempt employees on a weekly and bi-weekly basis
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing while maintaining compliance with applicable laws
• Assist the Payroll Manager with process improvements and payroll metrics reporting

Qualifications/Education/Work Experience

• GED/High school diploma; Associate's degree in accounting is a plus
• Minimum five years of related payroll experience
• Minimum three years of experience with automated payroll systems, preferably UKG
• Experience with California and New York pay rules is preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
