California Payroll Coordinator

Job Summary

Supporting full-cycle payroll operations remotely, the part-time Payroll Coordinator will manage payroll processing for a large healthcare organization, including auditing timekeeping records, processing payroll adjustments, and ensuring compliance with California payroll regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Review and audit approved timekeeping records and expense reimbursement requests
• Process payroll adjustments, retroactive pay, and final termination pay
• Ensure compliance with payroll policies and maintain timely payroll delivery

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of payroll processing experience
• Experience processing payroll for organizations with 20,000+ employees
• Proficiency in Workday and Kronos
• Experience with union payroll and California payroll regulations
• Ability to support end-to-end payroll workflows
