Job Summary

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-employment background investigations for public safety and sworn personnel
• Perform candidate and reference interviews, and verify employment and education
• Write thorough reports in compliance with POST standards and coordinate with project management

Required Qualifications

• Active California Private Investigator license
• POST Background Investigator certification (required for sworn cases)
• Minimum five years of experience in pre-employment background investigations
• Strong knowledge of POST standards and applicable employment laws
• Ability to conduct fieldwork within Los Angeles County
