California Procurement Specialist

Job Summary

Supporting the procurement lifecycle in a remote capacity, the full-time Sr Procurement Specialist will manage complex tasks including research, purchasing, and compliance with regulations while ensuring efficient execution of procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of the acquisition process from initiation to contract closeout
• Review major procurements for accuracy and compliance with regulations and local policies
• Prepare documentation for procurement of supplies, equipment, and services through various contracting methods

Required qualifications

• BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience or equivalent education/experience
• Extensive knowledge of the California State Contracting Manual and procurement processes
• Contracting Professional Certification such as FAC-C Professional or DAWIA Level II/III
• Master's degree in Business, Acquisitions, Legal, or related field preferred with 6 years of relevant experience
• Demonstrated multitasking and organizational skills in dynamic environments
