Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time California Provider Contracting Specialist will negotiate and manage contracts with various healthcare providers, conduct financial analyses, and build strategic relationships to enhance network growth and compliance.
Key responsibilities
- Negotiate, execute, and review contracts with diverse provider types while ensuring compliance and financial objectives are met
- Conduct financial and operational analysis of contract terms and rate structures to optimize profitability and member access
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with providers, addressing concerns and resolving disputes to ensure contract compliance
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 5+ years of direct experience in provider contracting, managed care network development, or health plan operations
- Proven negotiating skills in complex, multi-party contracting scenarios
- Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze rate structures and build financial models
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and comfort with proprietary contracting systems
