California Recycling Processing Specialist

Job Summary

Leading recycling operations remotely, the full-time California Recycling Processing Specialist will manage relationships with service providers, oversee data collection and validation, and drive initiatives to improve recycling processing and material quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead recycling processing work streams by synthesizing input from service providers and preparing actionable recommendations
• Manage ongoing engagement with service providers, including MRF operators and downstream processing partners
• Oversee the collection and organization of operational data to support reporting and reimbursement activities

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field
• Five or more years of relevant experience in recycling processing, solid waste, or industrial operations
• Experience in equipment-intensive processing environments, such as material recovery facilities or transfer stations
• Ability to travel for facility visits and meetings
