Job Summary

The full-time salaried California Research & Policy Analyst will support the California Coalition for Black Birth Justice by conducting research, monitoring legislation, and developing policy recommendations, while working primarily remotely from California.

Key responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze legislation and policy trends related to Black maternal and infant health
  • Design and implement qualitative research methodologies and support community-based data collection
  • Present research findings and policy analyses to stakeholders through various communication formats
Required qualifications
  • 5 years of experience in research, policy analysis, or program evaluation
  • Bachelor's degree in public health, health policy, social work, sociology, or a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience conducting qualitative research, including interviews and focus groups
  • Familiarity with maternal and infant health or health equity issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to work independently in a remote environment
